Mido Chronograph Valjoux

In 1974, Mido released a chronograph equipped with one of the best-known movements in the world of watchmaking: the Valjoux 7750 movement.  This movement was hugely successful at the time thanks to its reliability, accuracy, and ease of manufacture.  

The 7750 was quite a large calibre, with a diameter of 30 mm. It measured 7.90 mm in height and oscillated at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, which allowed for a high degree of accuracy when using the chronograph function. 

The movement offered the following functions:

•  Centre hours and minutes
• Small seconds in the counter at 9 o'clock
• Centre chronograph seconds
• 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock
• 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock
• Day and date window at 3 o'clock
